Bridging the AI Knowledge Gap - Introducing the Digital Foundations Series
A new book series designed to make emerging technologies accessible to students, professionals, and educators
Bridging the AI Knowledge Gap: Introducing the Digital Foundations Series
Every term, I get dozens of questions from my students about AI. Computer science students ask how they’ll actually use AI as developers. Business students want to understand how AI can be leveraged in their future careers and are looking for real-world examples. The same questions come up again and again.
It became very obvious there is a gap between the hype surrounding emerging technologies and the practical understanding people actually need to make informed decisions. So, I started putting together a series of books to cover these topics, my Digital Foundations Series.
The first book covers artificial intelligence and is designed for beginners, people who don’t know what questions to ask yet, and educators looking for accessible ways to explain AI concepts.
Whether you’re exploring development opportunities, making business decisions about AI adoption, or teaching others about this technology, the goal of this book is to provide the foundation to participate confidently in AI conversations. I wanted to create something that helps people ask the right questions, evaluate AI solutions critically, and understand both what AI can and can’t do.
This is just the first book in the series, with more foundational guides for other technologies coming soon.
