The Christmas Ranch

The Christmas Ranch was my favorite thing we did this holiday season. We loved it so much that we went twice—and honestly, we needed both visits to take it all in. There’s just so much to do and see.

Two Nights, One Ranch

Our first visit, we saw Santa and then sat around the giant bonfire drinking hot cocoa while taking in the atmosphere. We walked through the lights on one side of the property and spent time in the Reindeer Room before heading home.

A few days later, we came back to do the other half—the playground, the wagon ride, and the lights on the opposite side. Both nights, we made sure to visit the Reindeer Room because the train setup inside is absolutely phenomenal.

The Reindeer Room and Train Display

I can’t say enough about the train display in the Reindeer Room. It’s detailed, intricate, and beautiful. Whether you’re a train enthusiast or not, you’ll find yourself lingering to watch the trains wind through the miniature landscapes. We visited it both nights because it’s just that good.

So Much To Do

The Christmas Ranch sprawls over 100 acres with over a million lights, and they’ve packed it with activities:

  • Santa visits - Meet the big guy himself
  • Giant bonfire - Perfect for warming up with hot cocoa
  • Train rides and wagon rides - $4.50 per person, kids 3 and under free
  • Toyland - New this year, featuring tunnel slides, swings, climbing walls, and illuminated views
  • The Gift of Lights - Over 350,000 lights synchronized to music
  • Seven unique shops - Ornaments, decorations, toy trains, candles, and more

We went into a bunch of the shops and found some great Christmas ornaments and decorations. Each shop has its own character and selection.

Great Value

The Christmas Ranch is a good deal pricewise. Tickets are $32 per car, and importantly—make sure you buy them online ahead of time because they’re cheaper than at the gate. Once you’re inside, you’re free to roam the entire property.

The food pricing was reasonable too, which isn’t always the case at holiday attractions. And wow, did they have a lot of different sweets and dessert offerings. Santa’s Bakery & Cafe has cookies, candy, fudge, plus savory options like pizza, pretzels, and nachos.

Final Thoughts

The Christmas Ranch is the complete package. Lights, Santa, shopping, food, rides, bonfires, and that incredible train display in the Reindeer Room—it has everything you want from a Christmas outing. I messed up and didn’t take enough pictures, but honestly, I was too busy enjoying it to think about my phone. Can’t wait to go back next year.
