Cincinnati Art Museum - CAM Nights & Holiday Lights
A free BLINK-partnered projection light show in the museum's courtyard, open late on Thursday and Friday evenings.
The Cincinnati Art Museum partnered with BLINK to create CAM Nights & Holiday Lights, and it was awesome. Best of all? It was completely free.
The Light Show
The projection show is called “Winter Wonders,” designed by Cincinnati-based motion designer and three-time BLINK artist Chaske Haverkos. The show plays on a wall in the Alice Bimel Courtyard, accompanied by festive music, transforming the space into an immersive winter wonderland.
The projections start at 5:30pm and play continuously until 8pm. It’s the kind of experience that feels special—artistic and festive without being overwhelming.
Extended Hours
Here’s something to keep in mind for next year: the museum stays open late on Thursday and Friday nights during the holiday season specifically for this event. If you’ve never been to the Art Museum in the evening, it’s a different vibe—quieter, more contemplative, and with the projection show adding a magical element to the courtyard.
The Museum Itself
The Cincinnati Art Museum is fantastic. Everyone should have a membership. But even if you don’t, this event was free—the light show, the extended hours, and access to the collection galleries and exhibitions. During our visit, they had “What, Me Worry? The Art and Humor of MAD Magazine” on display.
Parking is also free, which is increasingly rare.
Dining in the Courtyard
The Terrace Cafe had heated globes in the courtyard where you could reserve a spot and enjoy dinner while watching the projection show. These were fully booked for the season, so if this returns next year, book early.

Final Thoughts
This is exactly the kind of event Cincinnati needs more of—free, accessible, and genuinely artistic. The BLINK partnership elevated what could have been a simple holiday event into something memorable. If they do this again next year, put it on your calendar. Thursday or Friday evening, free parking, free admission, beautiful projections in the courtyard. No reason not to go.
